If you have ever seen the video of lonelygirl15 on Youtube, you will find it better than almost all TV serials. The actress is good. And her acting is good too. Till now even no one thought that she was just an actress. People believed her genuine. But, as it comes out, she is just an actress and was hired by a gang of thee guys.
So basically, it was the script and acting which got appreciation.
But, it is actually a new era in producing shows for entertainmaint. Here, by seeing the comments by viewers, the script writer and director will change the script. So its like a real reality tv show. God knows how much amount the big production houses have spent on reality tv shows. And look at here, these people just used free YouTube service and created a highly popular site.
Hates off. Internet is providing level playing field to all people, indeed.

I dont know why but recently I am receiving too many hits from popular chinese search engine http://www.baidu.com/

I dont know how I got listed there but I am quite sure the chinese search engine has fallen in love with my space so much that it has replaced Google, yahoo and msn from top search engine referer list!!

I love China!!

Live Local Beta

Look at the above picture of a building in Los Angeles, it is what the Live Local team call "BIRD VIEW". Bird view thats the new type of photos you can see in Live local. After being beaten in the satellite picture game by Google product GOOGLE EARTH, now Microsoft has relaunched its satellite images related program Virtual Earth. Both companies aim to enable developers to develop web services that let users find thier current location and details about any place. Like if I want to go to Chicago and I dont know the places to eat or to live, I can find out them using these products. And also I will be able to see the roads also.

Live Local is only available for USA. So for us in India, Google is the best!!

Intel's New Logo and slogan

Well I got this new logo of Intel. The biggest microprocessor company based in Santa Clara, USA (also in your PC!!) is now changing its 37 years old logo and marketing campaign. Instead of telling everyone "INTEL INSIDE", it will now tell everyone "LEAP AHEAD" as it has changed its corporate slogan also. However, it will continue INTEL INSIDE marketing program for sometime for PC manufacturers. The INTEL INSIDE campaign launched in 90's helped INTEL to be the 5th biggest brand in the world.

BUT WHY INTEL is changing?

The reason for doing this is the diversification and growth in other segments of memory chips. INTEL INSIDE campaign was made for computers indicating that Intel microprocessor resides inside a computer. But now Intel is growing into other segments as well specially in mobile phone chips market. It is trying to create same position in cell phone market right now and for this it recently announced its tie up with STMicroelectronics. Intel is also desperate to create space for itself into consumer electronics market also. All this prompted it to shift everyone's attention from its current impression as a Computer chip manufacturer. Apple has also declared that it will now use Intel's chips in its some products.

Microsoft Live, Google and Yahoo!

It is a belief in the minds of many techno savvy people that Microsoft has lost its touch against Google in terms of innovation. While Google came up with many innovative products like Google Reader, GMail,Google Earth, Google Talk, Google Web Accelerator, Google AdSense, Picasa and many more search engine products which can be found at Google Labs, Microsoft obiviously seemed lagging far behind with Google's AJAX products.

Yahoo! also came out with WEB 2.0 technologies like My WEB and lots more which can be found here: Yahoo! Next. Both Yahoo! and Google work aggresively on developing and marketing front. However both companies developed all these product using AJAX technology and WEB 2.0 concept. They acquired many companies especially those companies who are working in RSS related stuff like blog and podcast or bookmarks. As Google has blogger.com for Blogs, Yahoo has its new 360 blog with a network friendship feature like Google's ORKUT. Microsoft is not behind in any case however with its SPACES blog spot. But, MSN brand has lost its steam. HOTMAIL is lagging far behind in terms of facilities and storage space provided by Google Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. While Google is providing more than 2.5 GB of storage space, Yahoo! is there with 1 GB space and Hotmail with just 250 MB.

However there are MSN softwares in each field to compete with two main rivals like My MSN, Microsoft Virtual Earth and many other products. But soon MSFT realise to create a new brand to compete. The new brand is LIVE and Microsoft has even released its email version with whooping 2 GB of storage space, LIVE MAIL and now LIVE MESSENGER. I have received invitation and I found it cool. However, Yahoo! has also released its Messenger 7.5 BETA just 3 days after Microsoft LIVE Messenger 8.0 BETA got released. Live mail has now feature similar to Yahoo mail's auto complete tool which fills email address in To, CC and BCC fields very quickly. It works using AJAX. I found it like online OUTLOOK though.

LIVE Messenger has a feature to see video inside it against Yahoo!'s Launch Radio feature. Google talk is far behind in this game. All there behemoths are fighting for VOIP market. Lets see who leads. I believe its not important how many products you have, it is important how many products have quality and more features. Like Google Talk is not good and so is Google Reader. But Google Earth is very cool. Google is behind as its blogger.com and ORKUT brand are not associated together quite clearly while Yahoo! is far ahead in integrating all its Yahoo Messenger, Mail, FLICKR, 360 blog and social networking concept. So Google has still lot to do in terms of integrating its own products. However Google has one big advantage which none other main competitor have: Google Adsense! All these companies are fighting for desktop searching market also in which Microsoft and Google have launched their products.

"Government of India" vs. GOOGLE

If you ever have visited some old monuments or temples in India, you will always find a sign board indicating that Photography is not permitted here. However, I always wondered what does this ban lead to? I mean, we can understand it can endager the security of the monument but how can you assure that the militants would take photographs by this regular cameras? If someone has decided to destroy some building than he/she will get the plan anyhow. They will use small cameras for that. They dont need to use big cameras for the photographs.

Anyhow, you can photograph "TAJ MAHAL", the most famous monument of India and you cannot phograph many other monuments due to reason of security. I wonder whether TAJ needs security or not, if we go with the photography ban logic. I want government to decide some standards and if they are in existance, why can't they mention them on the same notice board where the notice of banning of photography is shown? So if you are telling everyone, you cannot photograph here due to security, implement this rule strictly and with "TAJ MAHAL"also.

Now comes the real news: The government of India recently found that Google Inc, which is the best in search engine world has made new software Google Earth. And by using Google earth you can see most restricted areas of Indian cities as satellite images. These images are taken from 100- ft. above approximately. But you can see the image of Indian parliament and president house very clearly. This software was released atleast 4 months ago. Microsoft has also released similar kind of software in USA. I believe there are many more american companies planning for same service. But after 4 months, Indian government is awaked now because its most secure buildings plan can be seen by anyone for free and easily. So they have protested against Google.

This type of protest is not new against Google. The Britishers also raised the same concern against Google some time ago. People here are bashing against The American Company's Dare. I find this happening very interesting.

First, the Indian Government woke up late.

Second, most probably private american companies have better satellites than ISRO or atleast more number of satellites.

Third, american companies do not show american white house or any other american builings. (Google Inc, does not own any satellite).

Fourth, now any private company executive can also see all secret activities being done by any country. May be american government can controll thier organizations watching their own secret missions or plants. But, other countries can do little.

Fifth, Google has a large number of Employees in India who are raise no question against these. This means they do not care about India. All children in India know that the parliament is under the category of no flying zone. But, they missed the point.

Sixth, The head of Google India was in USA when Indian government raised this point to Google executives who said that their head is sleeping in USA. so they will talk to him when he wakes up. Here again a point: Indian executives missed the point of our country's security first over their employer's salery. After then, they dismissed governments allegation for some time so their head can sleep. LOL. What a joke! Why can't all employee just see what they are doing. Can't they raise the simple question or just cut out those parts from Google earth?

Seventh, I wish I can own this kind of project, idea or organisation which can even stand up against any goverment. I will employ only Indians because I will be able to do what ever I want. I think we should promote our quality to multinationals.

"Come here. Invest in India. Our people can forget that they are Indian for a while ..if you give them nice salery...they will support you.."

(This point was a sad joke, I think you can understand..)

Problem with JavaScript

Recently I pur news feeds from rediff.com to my website http://www.talkncafe.com so that my site can show latest news updates to visitors. But instead, I got lots of complaints from my friends and visitors that my site was not opening!! I was really surprised because it was not a big site neither we had heavy traffic problem. It also woked fast in my PC. But, I found out that Internet Explorer was not allowing the java script given by rediff.com to run properly. So it was blocking my site to be open in other PCs. It opened well in my PC because I had put it in Safe Zone sites. But now I have removed the java script so you will be able to see the site very quickly. For some time there would be no live news. But, I plan to update my site regularly by using RSS feeds. So keep visiting..
