How do u define a great country??

Recently I was having arguments with my fellow mates on how India is great. But the problem was they were not able to know or did not want to realise that the debate was on how India is great, they take it differently..Without using their mind they consider I am anti Indian and showed their wisdom!

Well how do you define or find whether a country is great or not? Ofcourse if you live in some country or born in some country there are bright chances that you may consider it a great country. It is a feeling. You can feel a country by its heritage, history, culture and legacy also but not only THAT. To check any country's credibility and comparing it with others we have to give other countries a chance. Doing that ensures that we are not biased and approaching a balanced way. This way we can analyse any drawbacks of our country also. But to think like this, you need an analytical mind not a emotional mind full of craps.

Lets do some analysis on history of India very Broadly..

Well some "shekh chilli" who are also unfortunately my fellow Indians, think that we have a great history thats why India is great! Is it so?? First of all think was there any country like India 60 years ago or not? Dont forget that there was no India. There were small states which were fighting with each other all the time...Thats why Moguls and Britshers came and took all things away! Still lets consider that all states represented India.Here are few points which are mistakenly considered as great Indian achievements:

India did not INVADE any other country in past. Well can any one tell me is this a great point? India didnot invaded other countries because its states were busy fighting each other. I dont think they had enough guts to invade other kingdoms outside Indus Valley. Ya there were some exceptions though like Chandragupta Mourya. We consider Shivaji Maharaj a great leader. True. He was a great fighter but still his life went in defeding his mother land.He never allowed to capture or even dream about raising taxes from Mongolia but the moguls did rule India!
Here a questions also arises, what will you call moguls ? Invaders or Indians as they rule us more than 500 years. Well if you consider them invaders, than all great architectures were build by Moguls cannot be cosidered as pure Indian including "Taj Mahal"
And now history takes interesting turn. The moguls who spread Islam in India, fought the europians initially when the europians come to india. Tipu Sultan also fought bravely against Britishers. So now you have to consider Muslims as Indians not invaders.
So indians do have Yogas and Kamasutra. But who are currently using this arts all over the world? We? NO! The Americans and even chinese. This week in Beijing there will be a biggest Yoga Teaching Class. MY fellow Indians, you should only take proud that your forefathers "invented" Yoga and let other people capitalise on it.
It is also not that Only India invented so many things. We have to look at other countries also. Look at China, they also had as great culture as ours.
But the great difference lies in Monuments that we built and other people built. We have some temples which are great but what else? Taj Mahal? (It was build by a Mogul, but let us consider it as Indian) Now look at Chinese, they have a WALL which is the only human made thing which can be seen from moon! Look at the Egyptians, they build pyramids and great civilization. There pyramids are standing tall even today.What did we make?? It will increase my knowledge if someone can comment on this.
And till my berth, I am hearing one great argument constantly whenever someone wants to prove that India is great he/she has the first point which is the most irritating one " India invented ZERO" . So what should I do?? Dont you have any other point?? If you think, India is great than you should have more than 100 points. but they bring this cheap point. I dont know who told them but it has been propogating in Indian kids from generations I guess. (Although this claim is true but please bring some new topic now! It shows that Indians invented ONLY zero nothing else! Find something new!) Well other thing like Sanskrit is the mother of all european languages. True so dont the europians have same right over it like us? And how many Sanskrit Books do you know? And Adolf Hitler considered Germans pure Arya. So we all indians and europeans excluding south indians and jews came from Northen Russia So we have similar background. After that we progressed. Europeans also progressed. There was a dark age in europe till 1400 or so. But here in India we had the same. We were being attacked by moguls at that time. Look now the progress of Europeans! Where are they today and where are we!

Here I want to point out that we will have to leave this typical Indian mentallity. We have sung enough songs about our history but used nothing from it. Although I beilive there we were not the best as other countries like China, Mexico or Europe had also great cultures, architechtures and science inventions with discoveries all around the world, there were many good reasons to say we were also among the best. But we all just seat and think of that and while doing that we even dont know single name of any of our great books (forget Ramayana or Mahabharata, I am talking about science books). So even if you beilive India was the only Best country, gather the facts and then only argue.

Now if you can spare some time from that, do look at current world now, The americans send men on moon in 1969, They invented computer and internet. The europeans discovered America and Austraillia. They travelled throughout South America, North and South Pole, Deep into Africa. What did we do?? I think you are also proud of that we dont discover any continent or didn't send first satellite or man in space. This happened because we were busy thanking our forefathers for inventing ZERO!! and using that zero the world progressed and we watched that progress!!

So my friends, if you want to show how true Indian you are, speak something new. or atleast on this typical topics , do google something. Do not just forward emails or propogate old things.

Hey I am also an Indian but I think globally now. But, I cannot speak biased about any country. I beilive India is not great at above things and thats the truth.

To make your country better or great, do something new. Think Present and Future not past which you dont know properly!

Still many additions are going to come..but I am going to sleep now!
